The Best Flatwater Paddles in Oregon

Christopher Heaps has lived in the Northwest since 1999 and started SUPing in 2013. In the summer of 2016, Chris paddled at nearly 80 places in Oregon to write all of the entries in the book. He then spent over six months writing the book and designing the maps.

 

Chris is a freelance writer based in Portland. He is also author of Mexican Fish Tale (a novel, with Andrew N. Johnson), and former cannabis columnist (Smoke Signals) for the Source Weekly in Bend (written under the name Steve Holmes).
